How to check a ticket, and every prize tier
Checking a ticket, step by step
Type the six digits from your ticket into the Check Ticket page. It compares them against every prize tier for that draw at once, so there is no table to read down by hand.
The prize tiers
- First prize — all six digits matching
- Adjacent prizes — the numbers immediately before and after the first prize
- Second to fifth prize — all six digits, against the published sets
- Three-digit front and back — three digits matching in position
- Two-digit ending — the last two digits; by far the most commonly won
If you have won
Do not sign the back until you are certain. Re-check against the official announcement. Smaller prizes are paid by retailers; larger ones are claimed at the Government Lottery Office with the original ticket and your ID.
Things to watch
A torn, damaged or faded ticket may not be payable. Keep it flat and intact until the prize is paid, and treat the GLO announcement as final in every case.
